Australian Business Register:

The Australian Business Register (ABR) is an extensive database that identities information provided by businesses when they register for an Australian Business Number (ABN).

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission:

The ACCC promotes competition and fair trade in the market place to benefit consumers, businesses and the community. It also regulates national infrastructure services. Its primary responsibility is to ensure that individuals and businesses comply with the Commonwealth competition, fair trading and consumer protection laws.

Australian Taxation Office (ATO)

The Australian Taxation Office is the Government’s principal revenue collection agency, and is part of the Treasurer’s portfolio. Our role is to manage and shape tax, excise and superannuation systems that fund services for Australians.

The Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC):

The Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) is an independent Australian government body that acts as Australia’s corporate regulator. ASIC’s role is to enforce and regulate company and financial services laws to protect Australian consumers, investors and creditors.


The Australian Trade Commission – Austrade – is the Australian Government’s trade and investment development agency. Through their global network, they assist Australian companies to succeed in international business, attract productive foreign direct investment into Australia and promote Australia’s education sector internationally.

Regulator of Victoria’s consumer whose purpose is to help Victorians be responsible and informed traders and consumers.

IP Australia:

Administrator of intellectual property (IP) rights and legislation relating to patents, trade marks, designs and plant breeder’s rights.
